1974  LS4 454 Vette

Purchased this Gem in the Fall of 1983.  Absolutely LOVED this car!  At it's zenith, it was painted 1982 Corvette Medium Blue.  Had all external chrome semi gloss black powder coated.  Put a cam of approx 525 lift (I forgot the duration), put early oval port heads on w/closed combustion chambers to raise the compression approx 1 point.  Installed a 3:55 rear gear along with a Doug Nash (now Richmond Gear) 5 speed.  That 5 speed was awesome.  You used 1-4 for strip use, but used 2-5 for everyday driving.  That 3.27 to 1 First gear really got it going out of the hole.  Second gear was 2:20 to 1, very close to the stock Muncey 1st gear.  Had a Super Stock wiz go through the Quadrajet.  Finally, dropped a 150 HP NOS Nitrous kit on.    At the Corvette drags in the summer of '87, went 12.25 at 108 in street trim.  On a trip to E. Washington in 1988, got 18 MPG.  In 1989, traded this car for the down payment on a house.
