1968 Z50A K0
The Final Chapter
Thank you for your interest in this restoration project. It's been quite an undertaking! Not only have I learned all about the 1968 K0, I also learned a lot about my first Z50 restoration, the 1969 K1. And, as I put the finishing touches on the K0, I was able to fine tune details on the K1, correcting a fair amount of inaccuracies along the way. I also wanted to feature my favorite pit bike, my QA50. She was restored in 1994, and has accompanied me to many Jetski races, where I serve as Announcer and sometimes Racer. It's a handy thing to have when the bathroom is a quarter mile away!!
Are they 100% original? No, but fairly close. Some items were impossible to find, and other items were done a little bit different from factory original. Why? Because I wanted to! What's left to do? Put oil and gas into the K0 and fire it up! The K1 will remain a non-runner, at least for the time being. But, all it'll take is some gas and oil, as well as adding electrolyte to the battery, and she'll be a runner as well!
THANK YOU'S
There are a few people who must be mentioned here. Without their support, these projects just wouldn't have turned out very good! If those parties mentioned here have a website, I will link their names to their site.
