Powder Coat
An effective dry finishing process that represents over 15% of the total industrial finishing market. Powder coating can be used on a large variety of products. Commonly used as a functional protective and decorative finish. With no shortage of colors or textures, powder coating is a premiere advancement in color finishing performance.

What is it?
The powder coat process is the application of using electrostatic-ally charged particles onto the surface of a product. An electrostatic gun accompanied by a feeder unit controls the flow of powder into the gun. The gun sprays out powder in the form of a diffusing cloud. These particles then are combined in an electrical field where they seek out and adhere to the surface of the products.

After the product has been coating, it is cured in a specially designed oven at high temperatures of 400F. The curing results in a finished product with a protective skin and promotes coating adhesion.

Powder coating is a highly effective and efficient process due to most jobs requiring only one coat. Powder coats are much cheaper than wet paint and result in a low energy and disposal cost. Powder coating is adaptable to coating thickness for products that need more protective requirements. Achieve a greater thickness and color compelling product with integrity through powder coating.

The powder coating process is an Eco-friendly alternative to liquid painting in all industries where compliance is essential. Commonly used with metal finishing, most powder coat products are free of potentially harmful chemical solves, and release few to no volatile organic compounds in our atmosphere.

Powder coating is a high quality color finishing found on thousands of products you come in contact with every day. Powder coating is protector for the roughest, toughest, and high use machinery. Powder coating is also used on household items we depend on daily. By providing a more durable finish than liquid paints can attempt, powder coated products are more resistant. This means powder coating can last through impacts, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and extreme weather conditions. American Powder Coat, built tough and looks great.
